[at-l] north-east bear status

Hey friends, how was the berry season last year in the Northeast?  I saw two 
large male Black Bears at High Point, NJ this past weekend; both of which 
uninterested and fearless of my presence.  (Perhaps last years fruit and 
vegetation was adequate?) Several local residents already accused the lesser 
males as a nuisance. Since they cannot compete with the larger males for the 
ladies, they venture about eventually into backyards, trash cans, and 
surrounding streets.

A happy bear is better than an angry bear, but nothing beats a dancing bear!
