On Saturday, I met and hiked several miles with Pete Palmer near the
Priest on the Appalachian Trail    He is doing very good and is in very
good spirits.   He is a long way ahead of my record pace of 1991.  If he
keeps this up he will easily beat my time.  Gary Trittipoe put some
pictures that I took of Pete on our website.

Pete is in the middle of Shenandoah National Park at this time.
