Tidewater Appalachian Trail Club is having its May major league everybody show up trail maintenance trip this coming weekend (May 14-16). Work is on Central VA 16, Tye River north over Three Ridges to Reed's Gap. Base is the Sherando Lake USFS campground. Any thru hiker (we have 2000 milers who can tell if your faking) is welcome to a Saturday night chili, salad, etc.dinner. Shuttles, showers, flush toilets, and bad jokes available. Can also point you to the thru hike rest place we shall not mention, located nearby.
It ain't Trail Days, but it's there.
