[at-l] Thru-Hikers Spotted, Allegheny Trail Guide arrived

Hi GANG!

My weekly trip to the Trail was a short one but rewarding. I met 8
northbound Thru-Hikers and two Southbound section Hikers at Matts Creek
Shelter. I went on to the top of the mountain to sleep last night. This
morning I came back and gave Res, Lucky, Avigodro, Two-Step, Nipper and
Samo (same-o) a ride into Big Island for P.O. drops and a meal at the
Amoco Restaurant. These folks started in February and most had just done
a couple of 20's so they ate a bunch:-)
After returning them to the Trail I caught up with the South bounders
from Montreal, The Berry Pickers. They had never seen ticks before and
Ben had one on his ear for 5 days! They thought it was just a sore from
a fly bite. So the went to the local clinic in Big Island. The Doc
there, (Dr. Worters??? is also doing a study on hiking with sticks, 2
versa 1 versa none) said that not to worry unless a rash developed that
the incident of Limes D. was very low in the area. I had another meal
with The Berry Pickers and shuttled them back to the Trail, look for
them at Trail Days.
Upon arriving home I was delighted to see my Allegheny Trail Guide had
arrived. Now time for a soak a brew and a look at 250n miles of trail
i never been on. :-) See ya at Trail Days.
