Re[2]: [at-l] poison ivy

     Ouchie!!!!!!!!

Ok, then, on a serious note (truly serious) the best solution:
soak in a bath of epsom salts. Poison Ivy's irritant is an oil, and as
such 1) can be absorbed by the skin, and 2) will float in a warm bath.
A warm Epsom bath will open your pores wonderfully, AND allow the
salts to work their many wonders on cutaneous substance transmission,
drawing the bad stuff out. Just make sure you hot-shower-off before
you step out of the tub ('cause the urishiol (sp?) will be floating on
the top layer of water). Also, recognize that God invented few
tortures worse than taking a hot bath with a poison ivy iritation.
When you get out, complete a calamine rubdown (find a loved one, make
an evening of it) to top the whole business off.
