About the new shelter between Pearisburg and Catawba, the 1999 AT
Thru-hiker's Companion states the Roanoke Appalachian Trail club plans to
build a shelter at the Sarvers Cabin Site sometime in the future. I must
add that once you reach Catawba, EAT AT THE HOME PLACE if you are there
Thur-Sun.
