It is far too heavy, and is cumbersome. Keep the journal. consider a Palm 
Pilot at a few ounces for something that can keep an entire journal with 
very little weight and size.

Plus, you would look like a dork dictating on the trail. Use a Palm Pilot 
and look like a geek instead.
