Re: [at-l] Hiker deals Update

Donald,
I have been working out as well. But the total difference in weight was a
reduction of almost 18lbs. when loaded with 4 days food and two liters of
water. Granted, it didn't all come from swapping out eqiupment. My full
pack went from right at 50 lbs to 32lbs. I saved 4lbs on the pack alone.
The reason was not to be able to hike farther or faster, just to enjoy the
actual hiking more.
I am divorced, the kids are all grown and through with school, so I have
been fortunate enough to be able to afford all this new gear. It certainly
isn't nessecary to be able to enjoy hiking, but it sure was FUN buying it!

Good Hiking,
Jim
