Well, I've gotten the flu _real_ bad the past 4 days and have had 
opportunity to read and prepare for the hike. I had planned to try for 
Hightower Gap to Standing Indian beginning 3/5. As wiped out as I feel now, 
my wife won't allow me to start packing and mailing. Hence I've postponed 
to 3/27 (last Saturday of March).

I hope the weather will be warmer and the March winds have passed. I was 
looking forward to a bit of real winter (such as it is in Georgia), but not 
this year. Maybe on next year's section from US 64 to Davenport?

Hence, I know I won't get to meet Kahley and KC and others this trip. Let 
me know if anyone needs a ride to let me get my fever a little more acute.
