Hi all,I have been monitoring the list (lurking) for about a month now,There 
have been several good threads I wish I had jumped in on, oh well. 
I live in New Hampshire and have hiked the Whites extensivly,as well as the 
Greens in Vt. and the whites in Maine. It is really beautiful here but I must 
say reading the posts here has made me anxious to do my thruhike. I am planning 
a 2001 hike,only because that is the earliest I can get my affairs together.Good
luck to all of you starting this year, maybe we will meet in the Whites.
