RE: [at-l] Re: Cell Phones



Cell phones are a personal decision. I would not take one on the trail with me cause it represents many of the things I want to get away from. However if someone can bring a cell phone into the woods with them and still enjoy the wilderness experience then more power to them I just don't see how.
For me the real rub is when someone substitutes  a cell phone for common sense , preparedness and backcountry skills. Some think they can just "make a call" and get themselves out of trouble.We see this every year here in the whites.
