[at-l] Pearisburg hostel caretaker

I am trying to remember the name of the caretaker for the Pearisburg 
church hostel. He was a  military type guy who reminded me of a Major 
Payne but was pretty kind after you got over his first impressions. I 
was wondering if anyone has talked with him recently.
