[at-l] Rain Test with Duraflex Journey Backpack

Hi Folks,
Well the Duraflex Journey Backpack isn't waterproof. I had it out in my
backyard for 5 hours in a good heavy rain storm all loaded up with gear.
All the gear was stored inside a trash bag inside the backpack.
The coated fabric on the backpack doesn't absorb water though some did
filter through. The inside of the backpack was wet but not puddling. So I
would say the fabric used is water resistant.
So we have a backpack that carries well, good volume 3450 to 3600 ci.,
lightweight 2 lbs 13 oz ( If you take the perimeter frame and cut excess
straps pack weights 2 lbs), water resistant and costs only $59.95.
All in all I say this is a good backpack.
Have a good one.
