For those of you who hadn't heard, probably very few of you.  Bill Erwin's dog
Orient died last Winter some time, I think it might have been February. I was
suprised at how sad I felt about that having met neither Bill or Orient.
Orient was as much a thru-hiker as Bill, and his achievement may have even
been greater than Bill's for all the extra responsibility Orient had.
