Hi everyone,

Here is some very recent news. Talked on the phone today with Keith 
Kimball, known on both coasts as "Wolf". He has decided to hang up his 
hiking boots (or "retire" as he puts it) for atleast 6 years, as he has 
officially enlisted into the Army, effective around February 10th. He 
will be headed to GA for basic, and hopes to eventually be working in 
intelligence. He says he'd probably be stationed in VA, and hopes to 
make the eastern Gatherings each fall. Keith has hiked nearly 21,000 
miles in 10 years including multiple AT/LT thru-hikes, and three PCT 
thru-hikes. His plan until two days ago had been to hike the CDT this 
year, but that will now be somewhat delayed. We'll miss you out there, 
Keith.
