[at-l] What have we done..was fanny pack convert and a jacket

There was a nice young guy that i met at the Gathering,,,,
kinda new to backpacking....didn't know much about gear
and all. Now look at him....contimplating gear modification
and scoping out the web bargain sites and gasp....thinking
about his pack weight!!!!! See what happens when you hang around
here!!!!
About the pack, I wear mine a little low and let the pack belt rest on it.
I was going to cut it up and refigure it to fit on my pack, but I use it on
day hikes when I don't carry my big pack and also wear it in camp so
the stuff in it is handy. Also, after training hard for a year for my thru
that didn't happen, I lost my hips and the fannybelt helped keep my
pack from slipping down. Note...my current reduced level of
training and my quitting smoking have amazingly restored my hips
<sigh> k./\
