Pentax ZX-M - 10.8 oz (35mm manual slr)
Nikon Pronea S - 11.5 oz (APS slr)
Pentax ZX-10 - 12.3 oz (35mm autofocus slr)
Minolta XTsi - 14.6 (35mm autofocus)

It's light, but not significantly lighter than some available 35mm
slr's...The kit lens is very light at 3 ounces. Then again, it's a kit
lens.

Not really. For $520 you can get a very good 35mm slr, or a used medium
format rangefinder.

Anyway, the Pronea S with 30-60mm lens is going for $380 at B+H.

And other things, but I believe Fuji is very close to releasing a slide
film, and Kodak has already introduced a black and white.

A projector is another matter...adapter mounts will probably follow soon
thereafter...
