     I know I get more email for my "trouble", but yet another thing I 
     appreciate about this list is the lack of Balkanization, as is 
     provided for and encouraged on "that other list." Not every thread is 
     going to wow me, but you never know. And I never know what threads I 
     may decide to join in and contribute to, either. Balkanization denies 
     participants and nonparticipants alike. (OK, enough political rot.)

Merry christmas to everyone (is anybody celebrating right on the trail? 
Wish I could do that!).
     
Just a short question:
     
Is there a seperate list for the hopeful 1999 thru-hikers like there have 
been lists in the last years?
