My experience with Trioxane in my Esbit stove was unsatisfactory. The
pellets just burn up too fast -- about 5 minutes. They were designed to
heat up MRE's for the military. I'm sure they'll heat up prepared food, but
they aren't for actual cooking.
Esbit pellets, not surprisingly, worked really well in the Esbit stove.
What are peoples' experiences with Hexamine? And is it cheaper/more readily
available than Esbit pellets?
