I tried both on my last trip. I didn't like the fleece jacket as much as I
did the down vest stuffed inside my sleeping bag stuff sack. Which is
surprising, because I prefer a harder feather pillow to down or foam
pillows.

Anybody have any ideas to keep the stuff sack under your head?
