[at-l] Trailplace's A.T. Bibliography

Greetings Hiker-folk!

Ol' Earthworm here. Thought I'd give you the latest word about
the A.T. Bibliography on Trailplace, since at least one person has asked
about it.
The new "interactive" software Wingfoot's using for many sections
of the website, including the Bibliography, does not have the capability
of automatically transferring the old Bibliography entries into the new
website. All the entries will have to be re-typed, and this will take
some time. The good news is that I will be able to delete a few duplicate
entries and clean up some typo's. I just hope I don't introduce _new_
ones! :-)
Until I get all the old entries back up, I won't be doing any new
ones, so you won't be finding any "A.T. Bibliography News" e-mails for a
while. But anyone who's interested can check out the Bibliography now and
then and see what's been re-entered.
MOST importantly, anytime you have an idea for a book to include,
please go ahead and send me an e-mail directly or use the Trailplace web-
site, click on "Contents", then "Reference & Archives", "BIBLIOGRAPHY OF
AT HIKING", "POST NEW MESSAGE", and select the category "00-Recommended
Reading." (PLEASE use ONLY that one category.) Tell me as much as you
know about the book. If you can only remember the author or title, that's
fine. You can suggest anything related to the A.T., anything on hiking
and outdoor skills in general, nature guides, and things about women in
the outdoors. Items can be books, magazine or newspaper articles, or
audio/or/video tapes/discs. Eventually I may also add guidebooks for
other trails besides the A.T.--probably beginning with PCT, CDT, ADT, and
other major trails.
Hope I've covered everything. If you have any questions,
you know how to contact me! -- Earthworm
