Well, gang.  It's been awhile since I posted.  Mostly, I like to talk about
equipment.  I thought I'd mention that I am sending my tent off to
Ultralight Outdoors for carbon fiber replacement poles.  They claim their
carbon fiber poles weigh 1/2 the eight of traditional aluminum poles. they
also offer titanium tent pegs.  From what I can tell, I am expecting to drop
the weight of my Warp Arch-rival Solid from 4 lbs, 12 oz. to 4 lbs, 5 oz.
They sent me a brochure that looks interesing.  You can check them out

It's going to cost me about  $115 for new poles and 16 titanium pegs.  I'll
keep you posted on the results.
