Home made "waybread" recipes are often great for breakfast. They aren't
hard to make (there was a Backpacker article on waybreads in the last year
or so) and they aren't as sweet as poptarts or most of the commercial
granola bars. I posted a recipe for an oat waybread that (I found) was
great smeared with peanut butter last September.
My other favorite is Museli. I pre-mix it with dry milk and a little non
dairy creamer, then just add water and eat. If the morning is really cold,
they you can add hot water instead. When I'm having it cold, I add water
right to the ziploc bag I carried the breakfast in... no cleanup!
By the way, did anyone try that recipe?
