Terrible, terrible, terrible name for any long distance
backpacker-type! Do you have ANY idea how much EXTRA FOOD you'll have
to carry to "Honor...all of creation"!!!??? Hundreds of pounds! Not to
mention: A few hundred miles up the trail, and you'll have
throughhikers all around you, concentrated on the four compass points,
of course, every time they see you even APPROACH your food bag. When
the time comes to honor the FOUR WINDS, I would predict TOTAL CHAOS as
these appetites-in-boots thrash and manuever for a mouthfull of
whatever you're tossing north, south, east, and west. Would make the
NBA finals look like child's play.
Heeeyyyyyyyy, wait a minute. You're not HONORING the FOUR WINDS! You
ARE the Four Winds! You expecting OTHER hikers to make offerings to
YOU??!! Huh?? Is THAT the scam? On to you! We're on to you! Free Food?
I don't think so!

An accident occurred today - someone thought my screen name meant something
other than what it did.
He called me "Four Winds."
But I liked it - so I researched the name. I liked it even more.
"Follow your own footsteps. Learn from the rivers, the trees and the rocks.
Honor yourself, and all of creation."
Four Winds
Ga > Me 00

Thanks, Kurt :)
