[at-l] PA hike September 12th

Just one week away.  The  "Don't Ask, Don't Tell"  8.6 mile hike of the
Appalachian Trail, Saturday September 12th 1998, Pennsylvania route 850
to Duncannon...

Directions to the PA route 850 AT trailhead:

Interstate 81 - exit 21 - routes 11/15 North
go 2.3 miles and turn left onto route 850 (shortly after passing Hardees)
go 8.5 miles to trailhead (just past trail on left)
i will have spent the night in the van at the trailhead.  you may see my
van at Hardees as you pass by....
8am to shuttle vehicles, 10am to hike...

After the hike will be a GabFest at (where else) a nearby truckstop,
hopefully again with both kinds of music "country" and "western"...

A few hikers will be making it a full weekend backpack adventure...

Bill and Hillary are not invited along on this hike...
