Same tune different verse.
Feelix and Becca are done with Maine ...hoo-rah, hoo-rah.
They made it thru without too much pain ...hoo-rah, hoo-rah.
Though their feet may be swollen
And their ankles sore
They're gonna keep hiking
Cause they want MORE.
And we all will miss him till Feelix comes hiking home.
Eager southbounder's, they're really psyched...hoo-rah, hoo-rah.
They'd better be cause ahead are the Whites...hoo-rah, hoo-rah.
Food seems to be number one in their hearts.
Plus making up for their slightly late start.
And we all will miss him till Fellix comes hiking home.
Yes yes, kiddies....el Feelixo called from Gorham!
He and Pokey-hantas have made it thru Maine and are
poised for the Whites! Reported encounters with the
Professor and our own beloved Slyman!
Next stop N.Woodstock in under a week, Earl willing!
Then Hanover and Manchester Center.
Trying to walk that tightrope between a too heavy pack
and too little food has proved to be tricky. Every road
they hit demands a hitch to food and then back to the Trail.
They even hitched to the same town twice, once from the
north and then back from the south. Meat seems to be high
on their list...that and tomatoes <g>.
Southbound can be a hungry hike!
Tuff to do those long stretches when you don't have a
couple thousand or so miles under your belt. Feelix
reports losing enough weight that his belt won't cinch
tight anymore. God help Gorham and it's citizens...
they are probably low on food since Feelix and Becca
blew thru. He sends greetings and more on the way via
snail to the list.
