'tis far nicer to receive snail mail on a thru-hike than a group of rounded up
e-mails. 

I tried to reply by snail mail to everyone who actually put pen to paper and
stamp to envelope. One "stranger" even sent me cookies.....now that's
consideration.

So, folks....if you really want to make an impression on a thru-hiker....snail
mail.
