Subject: Ron & Cheryl (Solemates) Final Update (sort of)

After arriving at Bennington, VT, on Wednesday, July 15, Ron has decided to
come home. He has basically been suffering from a lack of energy for the
past couple of weeks and the heat/humidity has taken a toll. Rather than
risk long-term health problems, he is going to "call it a day." Cheryl is
planning on continuing by herself, but will do the Long Trail straight up to
Canada (no right at Killington). Ron will meet up with her on weekends.

We must all congratulate them on their success (they made it farther in 4
1/2 months than I have hiked in my whole life)! Once Ron gets settled back
in, either he or I will let you know what's happening.
