Uh - before anyone starts taking this too seriously, maybe I should ask mom to
put a disclaimer on all future posts designed to be laughed at. I mean - I
THINK it was a joke, and certainly took it that way when she told me on the
phone - although I was laughing so hard I may have missed something .. . <g>
In any case - don't worry, folks :) Everyone on this list is doing a fine job
of educating us, both experienced and novice alike. The suggestions for
alternatives to buying a pre-made shower have been good - although I never
would have even thought of it in the first place LOL . (by the way, her
reference to "close to a good water source" was meant as "close enough to fill
up the shower bag" not "taking a shower near the water source." While she is
a beginner at backpacking, she has been camping for many many many many years.
She is well aware of LNT and all that.) I guess I could have let mom respond
herself (sorry mom) but since she won't likely be on until the wee hours of
the morning, I thought I might point these things out now, before it gets too
out of hand <g>.
