On his 5th day on the trail, Sam made it to Lemon Gap ( just south of Hot
Springs N.C. ) yesterday.  He covered 52.7 miles  which brought his total
up to 265.4 miles ( 53 miles per day ).  He is 1.5 days ahead of my
schedule.  He is  
being interviewed by NPR in Hot Springs today.   It should be on NPR
nationwide later today.
