Re: [at-l] dehydrating] beef jerky

Someone ask about a recipe for jerky. I got this one from Cumberland
Store Catalog from Crossville, TN. I do not like real spicy food, this
one is not spicy, but kind of sweet. BTW, I've figured out why hikers
like jerky. Ppicking the meat from between the teeth gives them something
to do while hiking.

3/4 Tsp salt
1/4 Tsp pepper
1 Tblsp Brown Sugar
2 Tblsp Soy Sauce
1 Garlic clove crushed
1 Tblsp Worstershire Sauce
1 lb. lean meat--sliced thin

Combine & coat meat with mixture. Marinate 6-12 hours in container with
tight lid in refrigerator. Stir occasionally. Dry in dehydrator.
Yields 1/4 lb.
Plodder
