Have no fear, barring any sudden turn downward in temps, a blanket of any kind should suffice for sleeping. I did the same section last week and only covered myself with my sleeping bag for a few hours a night. Be prepaired to consume 2 to 3 gallons of water per day as the 85+ deg temps thru the day will tax your sweat glands and dont forget the (insert bug repellant here). The little biting black flies are murderous. Also, beware of the timber rattler in the Blue Mtn shelter area. Otherwise, it's a great hike.
