Actually, the Stephenson 2RS that I used on my hike last year is double
walled on the main body of the tent. The only single-walled portions are
the end tubes, which represent less than 1/4 of the total tent's "walls".
Stephenson does sell a single-walled version which is several ounces
lighter than the version I used, but you can get condensation problems
with that one when you have damp conditions or more than one person in
it.

I weighed my tent prior to my hike with a very accurate scale and WITH
the 3 stakes AND a groundcloth, my tent weighed 3lbs 10 ounces. I
believe that without the stakes and groundcloth, it would have been more
like 3 lbs 4 oz.
