Does the de-hydration of bananas cause a decrease in the amount of potassium?

When I was getting chemo, the only problem I developed was low potassium.
They gave me tablets, and the dietician told me to munch on dried fruit all
day. Eating large meals was out of the question at this time, and getting
anything in me was a constant worry. Following thier advice, I was able to
stop taking the pills in two days. (swallowing pills is still a major
challenge for me.) The dried fruit worked and I never had another problem
with it.
