Subject: AT Journal Update for Jim Campbell

Hello again.  I have just updated Jim's journal on the web through May 14th.  I
talked to Jim this morning when he made an unexpected stop over at Erwin, NC.
He's doing well.  It has been *very* hot, in the 90's.  Quite a change from a
week ago!
It is much cooler at the higher levels so the days aren't all miserably hot
(ha....just wait until July!).

Some of the days are out of sequence.  This is due to the "missing" days a
couple of weeks ago.  I have been assured that the dates will be resequenced
once Wingfoot gets to Jim's page.

Jim wanted you all to know how things are with me and what he thinks I'm going
through without him here.  I normally wouldn't do something like this but I am
in need of prayers and support.  I found out Monday that the school district
information services budget does not include my position.  I will no longer be
employed as of May 31st.   I don't have much ground to stand on since I am in my
5th month of a 6 month probation.  I am doing all I can to fight this and to
find other employment in the district so that we keep our insurance and Jim can
keep hiking.  I will do everything I can to avoid asking Jim to give up his hike
and come home.

So if any of you know of somebody who knows somebody who needs a general
technical specialist, please let me know.  Everything will work out fine, I have
faith.  I just wish I didn't have to go through this without Jim.

then the pictures will be posted.
