I was on Marcy just yesterday after bushwhacking over from Gray. Climbed
Colden by the slide on Saturday. Awesome weekend. Saw an alpine azalea in
Marcy (cool!). Snow is 99.999% gone. We're having an unusually early and
very warm spring in the North Country. The Adirondack Mountain Club has a
tape recorded weather line at the Adirondack Loj (changed daily). Phone
#518/523-3441. Lake Placid is the place if your weather site lists it. Just
remember that mountain weather is basically unpredictable, especially so in
the Adirondacks. Be prepared for anything.
