This thread brought to mind a report I heard on NPR. Last fall the New
England Journal of Medicine ran an article entitled, "Cure found for the
common cold." Well, the article went on to say that, in fact, a cure had
not been found BUT the accumulated weight of research shows that regular
washing of the hands so reduces the odds of getting a "common cold" that
the net is all the same. Hopeful
