you will eat what you poop. These pathogens will give you diarrhea. The food
borne diseases such as salmonella and ecoli are all killed in the cooking
process if you cook your food rather than just heat it, and most of us
transport them back to the cooked food on the cooking surfaces that touched
the raw food in the first place.

This is so true. When I was getting chemotherapy this past winter, they
stressed the importance of avoiding any kind of infection. (chemo messes with
your blood counts and makes you very vulnerable). One of the main things my
home health care nurse did was put anti-bacterial soap at every sink. I
washed my hands constantly and anyone coming in from outside, even if they
just went out for a smoke, had to wash up before they touched anything. I was
not allowed to eat fresh veggies or fruit. Everything had to be cooked. For
the first time in my life I went through the winter with no colds...no
flu...no sinus infections etc. If it hadn't been for the side effects of
chemo I would have felt darn good. :)
