We don't usually do too badly - some shelters are worse than others, of
course, but mostly they're manageable. At night, misquitos are the worst
you have to deal with; black flies are mostly gone. The deer flies can be
pesky during the day; but usually they are so stupid you can nail them when
they bite (problem is, they take a chunk of you with them before ya get
'em). I don't use repellant, going with some screening or netting on the
occasional bad night - weighs the same as repellant & I don't stink or get
covered with nasty toxins.
The worster is da porkies, a course.
