I carry two bottles. I use a MSR whisperlite. It is very feul
efficient. That will last a week with two sometimes three people using it.
Not sure what I'll do for longer than a week trip. Havnt had to worry about
that yet. :-(
BUT .... Hopefully if I get this new job at a local university I'll be on a
10 month/yr contract which will give me two months a summer off. Maybe I
will get to do the AT in sections over a few year period. As I understand
it alot of campgrounds will sell quanities to fill your bottles and also
little country stores along major trails will do the same. This is just
what I have read or heard but have no first hand experience to speak from.
