Re: [at-l] Here I go again! ;)

If you're having someone with you for the entire trip, by all means,
consider an adequate lightweight 2 person tent.

For myself, I purchased the Eureka Nimbus some years ago, extremely
lightweight, I believe 2 pounds 12 ounces. The only drawback I found is
that it is only a 3 season tent, and you have to use the tent pins. It's
rated for 2 persons, but they must be little fellows. It's perfect for one
person.

Most 2 person tents end up around 5 pounds plus. I like the Eureka that I
have, because I have just enough room for my pack and misc. equipment at
night. If you're unsure of whether or not you'll have a partner, consider
the lightweight versions similar to the Eureka Nimbus or Flashlight Clip.
If someone joins you, a second similar tent would be required, of course.
Let's face it, when the lights are out and you're asleep, you don't know
the difference whether or not you're alone. Also, consider privacy.

If you were sleeping near my snoring wife, you'd be glad to have a second
tent.
