I'm hoping some of you can help me 
by sharing youe experiences with tent gear
What I'm looking for is simple: 
 Trail tested tough - yet not a back breaker. 
 Must have adequate guy points, strong poles,
 and be 100 % waterproof, also  Good ventilation, roomy strong structure.
Some possible candidates:   MH  niteview,   Bibler Ahwahnee, NorthFace VE25, Garuda Kaja                  
 I am not sure about single wall
