RE: [at-l] commentary & Book help

Several of you mentioned a book published by National Geographic on the AT.
I have a hardcover book at home published by National Geographic on the AT.
It looks like it may have been a magazine article that was also published as
a book. I have seen it for sale in several used book stores last fall (Rainy
Day Books in Fitzwilliam NH was one of the stores). I will look up the
publication date at home tonight.

One of the things that inpressed me was the picture of Benton McKaye in the
front of the book. I remember him from when I was in Boy Scouts but at that
time I knew nothing of the AT or his connection with it.
