America Outdoors Online Database Makes Planning an Adventure Vacation
Easy

KNOXVILLE, Tenn., March 19 /PRNewswire/ -- One of the largest searchable
databases of adventure travel outfitters and recreation destinations is
now online at http://www.americaoutdoors.org/ . The database was
designed to provide easy access to often difficult-to-find information.
Developed by America Outdoors(R), this searchable database contains the
complete listings of more than 550 companies from across the nation and
around the world. The listed outfitter companies provide over 47
activities such as whitewater rafting, canoeing, kayaking, dude
ranching, cross-country skiing, fly-fishing, and rock climbing. The
listed vendors offer a variety of supplies to outfitters around the
world.

Outdoor enthusiasts may search for their next adventure vacation by
country, state, activity, region, or natural resource. Trips are sorted
into family-styled vacations and guided or unguided trips. Many of the
companies listed have links from the database to company web sites. All
are members of America Outdoors(R).

In addition to the database, adventurers can find descriptions of a
variety of outdoor activities and a special section called, "Planning
Your Trip." It contains information about making reservations,
addressing special needs, taking children on trips and a list of general
questions to assist with selecting the right outfitter and trip. The
web site also has information about National River Cleanup Week(R) (May
9-16, 1998). If you do not have access to the web site, a free, 72-page
1998 Outfitters Directory and Vacation Guide is available to the general
public by calling 423-558-3597.

America Outdoors(R) is an association of over 550 of the nation's
premiere professional outfitters, adventure resorts, and companies that
provide outdoor recreation services and/or equipment to the general
public. Members of the association serve approximately 2 million
Americans each year and operate in more than 40 states and 50 foreign
countries.
