[at-l] It's Time To Go!

To all the ATML, AT98 and AT-L Family,

Tomorrow is the day I've waited for at last. After 40 years of dreaming
and over a year of planning, finally it's my turn to go. Before I sign
off, I wanted to give my sincere thanks to everyone on the list for all
the advice, support and many laughs along the way. Regardless of our
experiences, I think we all learn something new everyday on these list.
I hope to come back a seasoned long distance hiker and give something
back to the list.

To those of you new to the list and in the planing phase of your dreams,
you've come to the right place. Not only will you find volumes of good
advice, but numerous stories and tails of the AT that will raise your
excitement level and fill you with anticipation of what lies ahead.
Thanks to all the folks and their sharing of knowledge, I feel I am
hitting the trail and bit wiser and a whole lot more informed than I
ever could have been on my own. Collectively, the folks in here know
more than any individual anywhere.

A special thanks to Wingfoot who works tirelessly for very little reward
to make this all possible for us. I don't know how you keep up, but I
sure hope I find some of your energy out there on the trail. What spring
did you say contained the fountain of youth? At the very least, I hope
to find enough energy at the end of the day to keep up with my journal!

Another special thanks for all my chat friends. I'll be missing all of
you everyday while I'm out there. You folks have been great in spite of
my over exuberance at times. Whenever I needed a break or a boast,
someone has always been there. More than anyone, you guys have kept my
excitement level soaring. Thanks for all the fun hours we've spent
getting to know each other.

With all that said, it's time to sign off, head to Springer and keep
putting one foot in front of the other. Just hope I can repeat the
process about 5,000,000 times. Will see you all when I return.
