[at-l] PIGS in The Woods

                         Wild Pigs

There are wild pigs in the woods, my mama said,
Not the hairy boar with long tusks in his head.
Its the bore who drops his trash wherever it suits.
He is the wild pig! He's the one that pollutes!

He's the one whose trash spoils my woodland visit
But then maybe its just my point of view. Or is it?
He foolishly prides himself in being a real "go-getter".
When its the "go-giver" who makes the world better?

He worships himself and what's sacred is "Me!"
Says he, "Why I just know I could create a tree".
"And the earth, I know, will swallow up my bits of trash
"In a thousand years of earth's life; why that's just a flash".

A two-legged is a wild pig with intellect but no class
Discarding his cans, paper, plastic and glass
Carelessly dropping them onto his Mother Earth's face
Who, as we know, is his only sure life-sustaining place.

In an immense universe, our earth is an oasis of blue
Treat her as your mother. Cherish, honor and protect her, too
The words "Love it or leave it" have new meaning for me today.
Find another world to trash. I love my mother. So go away!
