[at-l] Fire & survival

I the scouts we called the dead wood in the lower branches of trees
"Squaw wood".  In the winter when there are no leaves to indicate 
wether a branch is dead or not we used the feel test.  With a bare hand
grab the branch.  Having no moisture to pull heat from your hand, the 
dead wood will feel much warmer.  (This is the same principal that makes
metal feel colder than say cloth even though they are the same temp.)
