[at-l] Solemates off and running....

I dropped Ron and Cheryl off this morning at the FS 42 / AT intersection
about 9:00 am. We snapped a few photos and they were off to the plaque. I
unortunately had to hop in the car and haul booty back to Atlanta to make
my first class, and believe me, class was the last thing on my mind at
that point. I was considering just blowing off the classes and taking a
day hike over to Hawk Mt and back, but my concious got the best of me.

I shut off the radio and we rode more or less in silence for the last 10
miles or so, it was great, you could just feel the anticipation building.
Saw one other hiker who appeared to be a thru-hiker, he had just tagged
the sign and was on his way north. Beautiful weather down here too,
yesterday and today we had temps hitting about 70 degrees, not a cloud in
the sky, slight breeze. Looks like the waether will hold until about Thurs
afternoon/night.

ooops, time for more class, the fun never ends I tell ya.
