there's no excuse for the kind of violence that took place at that clinic,
you don't defend or promote life by taking lives...
I'm sure everyone is safe on the trail, but your warning is a good safety
precaution, I'm sure it's already been done but a photo at some early trail
stops might be a deterent of sorts... a long time ago I did post a list of
things in one of WFs forums on how I think people can make themselves more
safe... for the most part they are inexpensive & could be done in a couple
of days or last minute before a 98 hike... any questions let me know...
btw, survivalists are as hard to define as thru-hikers, the word covers alot
of different types of people, false stereotypes can be harmful (no
accusation)...  this kind of group isn't necessarily "survivalist" & they
sure aren't as skilled as thru-hikers are in the woods, for the most part
they aren't followers of ray jardine or tom brown, they just have food &
dehydrated water set aside in case the power goes out<g>...
