Just wanted to add that my expirience is a copy of Spirit Walkers recent post.
On the trail dinner was usually a Liptons "stretched out" by adding a ramen
noodles, followed by a box of pudding if I could afford the weight. I tried
this on a weekend hike after the trail and it was way too much. The biggest
change in my trail diet has been picking up a dehydrator, Liptons make a great
base when stretched out with dried tomatoes, spinach, peppers, etc, and it
satisfies my craving for "green"; I wish I had gotten into this before the
trail. Happy Hiking, Skeeter....
